Celebrate Exchange Day

Celebrate Exchange Day is an American holiday dedicated to exchange clubs. These organizations have existed for over 100 years. During this time, many people and communities have received the help they needed. We gather on this day to remember how it all began, and to celebrate the great contributions of exchange clubs to society. The holiday is celebrated annually on March 27.

History

The history of the Exchange Club begins in 1911, when it was first established in Detroit. In honor of this event, we celebrate Celebrate Exchange Day every year. The organization continues to operate successfully today. It rests on three core social values: family, community, and country. The organization’s efforts are aimed at improving health care and solving many public problems. For example, the problem of child abuse.

The idea of exchange clubs was warmly supported by the community. A second organization appeared two years later in Toledo. Later they were joined by two more exchange clubs. Thus, in 1917 a non-profit organization called the National Exchange Club emerged, which today oversees the work of other American exchange clubs.

Interesting facts
