Every year October 16th is National Department Store Day. Department stores are commercial retailers that sell goods directly to customers. Unlike a conventional retail outlet, a department store categorizes and displays a wide range of products by department, including furniture, household chemicals, food products and more.

This has seen the emergence of department stores, which have become one of the largest centers of trade. Essentially, trade is the exchange of goods or services for money or other goods and services. Initially, goods were exchanged for other goods, but 5,000 years ago, the concept of money was born, transforming trade.
