History
National HIV Testing Day was first held in 1995 due to the perceived threat of the disease and the impossibility of controlling its spread. It was started by the US Department of Health. - Raise this topic on your social networks. Conduct a survey among your subscribers: how many of them have been tested for HIV? Emphasize the need to do so.
- There are HIV self-test kits. If you did not need such a set, perhaps your friends who lead a risky lifestyle need it. Advise them to get tested.
- If you have teenagers in your family, do they know how HIV spreads? Talk to them in a calm and respectful tone. Many young people become infected for a simple reason – they do not realize they can become infected. Tell them when how this might happen.
