National Shapewear Day

National Shapewear Day was created so we can feel free to wear corrective underwear. Most people prefer not to advertise they wear such clothes; however, this is not something shameful. Not all figures are perfect by nature – this is absolutely normal.

History

Body shaping devices have always existed, but until the 20th century they were too rigid and merciless. Modern underwear is much more comfortable, gentle, and has fewer contra-indications for wearing. There are comfortable options for the waist, buttocks, legs, and arms, which help to visually reduce volumes and at the same time not harm one’s health.

National Shapewear Day was established in 2017. It is designed to draw attention to this type of clothing and remind us there are more people with ‘imperfect’ forms than we used to think.

• Shapewear helps not only to visually remove fat, but also to keep your back straight, which improves posture.
• It is not recommended to sleep in corrective underwear – during sleep, the body should be able to relax as much as possible, otherwise there is a risk of severely pinching and injuring blood vessels and organs.
• This type of underwear is worn by many celebrities: one of Marilyn Monroe’s belts was sold at auction for a huge sum.

How to take part

Put on your favorite shapewear set. Show off in front of a mirror, take a couple of photos and post them on a social network. Show that you wear shapewear, this will help many of your subscribers take another step towards body acceptance.

Buy new shapewear – perhaps there will be promotions in one of the stores.
